Simulating Electrokinetic Phenomena in Microfluidics

Duration: 1:01:54

It is a common practice to optimize the design of inkjet printers, lab-on-a-chip devices, and cell sorters with microfluidics simulation software. In small-scale microfluidics processes, electro-osmosis, electrothermal effects, and electrokinetic instabilities are responsible for fluid motion and electrophoresis and dielectrophoresis (DEP) cause particle movement, such as in cells.

This archived webinar demonstrates how to simulate a range of electrokinetic phenomena using COMSOL Multiphysics® software.
