Phase Change Interface crossing the model boundary

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi All,

I am learning the case of tin_melting_front which demonstrates how to model phase transition by a moving boundary interface according to the Stefan problem. This is a very good case with well desgined boundary conditions. But I found that when simulating all solids disappear, there will be a problem. As all solid phase disappears, the Phase Change Interface would crosss the model boundary. This is impossible in real situation.

How to deal with such a situation?

Thanks!

-Jay
