Out of memory during incomlete LU factorization

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

I am trying to solve a large 3D problem using the RF module (in COMSOL 4.0a). I'm on a WinXP 64bit machine with 32GB RAM. The mesh consists of 371244 tetrahedral elements, with a cubic geometry shape order. I'm trying to use the iterative GMRES solver, but I run out of memory during the incomplete LU factorisation. Is there any way to decrease the memory requirements for the incomplete LU factorization? Will increasing the number of iterations taken by the Incomplete LU solver help with this? Or changing to the SPOOLES solver?

If you need more details about my model to offer advice, let me know.

Thanks
